About the position

As a Sr. Technical Product Owner II on the Pump and Mobile team at Tandem Diabetes Care, you will play a pivotal role in leading cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver updates to our pump firmware and mobile applications. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the solutions we bring to market align with our high-level product direction and roadmap while meeting or exceeding user and business needs. You will own and steer multiple complex initiatives, transitioning them from high-level planning to detailed execution, and build strong relationships with Product Management to deeply understand their goals, serving as their primary technical partner. In this role, you will coordinate the generation of high-level estimates, breaking major initiatives into smaller projects, and partner with Engineering, QA, and Project Management to draft potential schedules. You will define the roadmap for upcoming pump firmware and mobile app releases, ensuring alignment with Tandem's business goals and needs. Collaboration with Engineering and Scrum Masters will be essential to plan sprints that align with the release calendar and overarching business objectives. You will also work closely with UX Design to create intuitive user experiences that satisfy both user and business needs. Your proactive approach will drive the planning and execution of new pump firmware and mobile app features in collaboration with the feature team. You will align feature plans with a range of stakeholders, including Product Management, Quality, and senior leadership. Managing the contents of the backlog in Jira will be a key responsibility, ensuring tasks are organized, clearly communicated, and prioritized effectively. As the Agile Product Owner, you will attend all scrum ceremonies and serve as the primary point of contact for initiatives and features under your purview, providing timely answers to questions and maintaining open communication to ensure clarity for the working team. Developing a deep understanding of Tandem's hardware and mobile products, as well as the broader product portfolio, will equip you with the necessary context to make informed mobile product decisions.
