About the position

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Amazon Business Operations is responsible for driving critical cross-organizational programs that enhance the B2B procurement and purchasing processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to manage complex initiatives, ensuring timely delivery while balancing business needs with technical constraints. The TPM will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various stakeholders to streamline operations and deliver value incrementally.

Responsibilities

• Manage a suite of in-flight initiatives for high-visibility, high-impact programs for Amazon Business customers.
• Drive collaboration across technical and operations stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Run reviews of product requirements and prepare project status reports for leadership.
• Handle escalation management to unblock critical dependencies.
• Break down large, complex programs into manageable pieces and develop functional and technical user stories.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
