About the position

The Senior Technical Program Manager in the Amazon Software Builder Experience organization will lead cross-cutting initiatives for software deployment automation services, enhancing continuous delivery across Amazon's high-scale software services. This role focuses on enabling Amazon builders to streamline software deployment, leveraging serverless and container technologies, and driving architectural changes to improve the overall builder experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with engineering teams across multiple SVP organizations to influence roadmaps and prioritize efforts.
• Track progress against goals and support resource sequencing based on complexity, cost, and security benefits.
• Drive architectural change across large organizations and manage communication with developers and technical engineering leaders.
• Plan and deliver complex programs with multi-year roadmaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Experience with containers, EC2, Linux, and other cloud compute virtualization technologies.
