About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) for AWS Secure Connection Services (SCS) will lead projects and programs focused on Modular Data Center (MDC) and software development, ensuring that AWS services meet the unique access control, security, and compliance requirements of government customers. This role involves engaging with customers, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in classified environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and programs spanning Modular Data Center (MDC), software development, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Engage with customers to ensure systems and services meet diverse government requirements.
  • Interface with Software Development Engineers and Vendors to support manufacturing and design discussions.
  • Drive process and technology improvements to reduce friction for customers and proactively address issues.
  • Work backwards from the customer to solve technical challenges and drive stakeholder communication.
  • Balance technical trade-offs, costs, and development solutions across business, product, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure and complex systems.
  • 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Exceptional operational, analytical, and interpersonal skills to drive overall strategy across organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience in networking, control systems, and systems engineering.
  • Experience in data center operations support and knowledge of construction methodologies.
  • Experience with data management and analytics tools such as SQL, Quicksight, and Python.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
