About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager for AWS Monetization will lead technical escalations within the AWS Commerce Platform, focusing on improving billing accuracy and customer experience. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop and implement process improvements, managing critical escalations, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for innovating technical processes and products, driving results in a complex and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical escalations across AWS to define the next generation of billing, payments, and cost management processes.
• Clarify and solidify the billing accuracy and experience improvement roadmap by sifting through competing priorities and complex requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, operations, and partners to bring the roadmap to fruition and define metrics to measure success.
• Build and maintain governance structures, driving effective decisions and reporting to wider stakeholder groups.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to measure billing accuracy and experience improvement, breaking down processes to understand their effectiveness.
• Drive process optimization to balance customer experience with business needs for flexibility.
• Manage through high ambiguity to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and building sustainable processes.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
