About the position

The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for driving programs that enhance customers' ability to build and maintain resilient systems on AWS. This role involves managing impactful cross-functional programs, collaborating with AWS service teams, and guiding customers towards operational excellence. The position is crucial for scaling knowledge and skill improvements to field teams and influencing the direction of new products aimed at improving customer resilience.

Responsibilities

• Own successful delivery of an impactful and highly cross-functional program
• Collaborate with AWS service teams to implement resilience features and services
• Scope, plan, implement, and deliver programs while collaborating with business owners, AWS leadership, and customers to align with strategic vision and goals
• Establish metrics and regular reporting mechanisms for measuring project success criteria, and support deep dive assessments
• Identify trends and insights, and opportunities to scale learnings from the program
• Communicate plans, status, and critical issues clearly and effectively to executive leadership
• Ensure customer data is handled with sensitivity and confidentiality
• Ability to travel periodically, as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Nice-to-haves

• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, distributed systems, and AWS services
