About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is rapidly expanding its global presence and is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the AWS Security Assurance Engineering team. This role is pivotal in shaping the technical, product, and execution vision for AWS's compliance landscape. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between the software development team and audit stakeholders, leading, scaling, and inspiring technical projects focused on controls, evidence, and workflow automation. In this position, you will manage technical projects that involve deep-dives into AWS security controls, creating remediation plans to support a comprehensive security assessment and risk remediation program. You will be responsible for identifying, tracking, and mitigating security and certification gaps through technical leadership, collaboration, and effective change management with partners across AWS. Your role will require a balance of Security & Compliance depth, along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams. Responsibilities

• Manage technical projects to perform deep-dives into AWS security controls.
• Create remediation plans in support of a comprehensive security assessment and risk remediation program.
• Identify, track, and mitigate security and certification gaps through technical leadership.
• Collaborate and manage change with partners across AWS.
• Lead, scale, and inspire technical projects towards controls, evidence, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
