About the position

The AWS Infrastructure Software teams are responsible for building, enhancing, and expanding the foundational services of AWS cloud. The role involves managing software services, tools, and platforms for deploying, orchestrating, and monitoring tests for AWS servers, ensuring they meet quality standards. The position requires defining engagement models for software development, managing cross-team dependencies, and delivering distributed software systems that guarantee healthy servers and services for AWS customers. The candidate will lead projects across various AWS teams, driving consistency and streamlining processes to enhance delivery speed.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage cross-organizational programs.
• Define business opportunity, long term vision and roadmap for product offerings.
• Scale innovative solutions to AWS Vetting's size by working closely with customers and engineers.
• Own and drive strategic program and product communications with senior leaders and executives.
• Design mechanisms to ensure long-term product and business success.
• Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple teams, gathering requirements and delivering complete solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps.
• Understanding hardware server component and architecture.
