About the position

The Sr Technical Program Manager for Colocation Engineering at AWS is responsible for managing complex programs that drive technology innovations from concept to production readiness in AWS's global Colocation Data Centers. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of advanced cloud infrastructure solutions while maintaining high standards for safety and security.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deployment strategy, roadmap, and plans for new mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering solutions in AWS's global Colocation Data Centers.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and collaborate with internal and external partner teams from conceptual planning through Colo production readiness.
  • Obtain alignment regarding at-scale deployment with partner teams and ensure production readiness mechanisms including integration requirements, financial, supply chain, and operational readiness.
  • Plan for global and regional specifics, testing and validation, deployment schedules, and consistency.
  • Collaborate across organizations (Colocation Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Operations) to enable successful delivery of technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
