About the position

Amazon Devices is seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to join the Demand Planning Product team. This role focuses on driving innovation, scale, and efficiency across global Pricing, Forecasting, and Promotion initiatives. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to implement worldwide pricing and promotions strategies, ensuring automation and efficiency in processes that impact millions of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Devices Sales teams in executing high impact events and maintaining pricing accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in current processes and develop a unified approach.
  • Establish standards for communication and change management.
  • Remove and communicate blockers to project completion.
  • Think strategically and execute methodically in project management.
  • Partner with various teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and legal to learn best practices.
  • Provide business and technical requirements to tech teams managing systems for Devices business.
  • Regularly communicate data insights to stakeholders and own business updates to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, and writing detailed specifications.
  • Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection.
  • Familiarity with software development processes including waterfall and agile methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
  • Creative leader with superior analytical abilities.
  • Experience in product development including C++, Java, and Web Services.
  • High comfort level presenting to senior management and external partners.
