About the position

The Sr Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Amazon's Enterprise Engineering Business Operations (BizOps) team is responsible for driving key business activities and improving employee satisfaction and productivity within a large organization. This role involves defining, scoping, and executing multiple end-to-end programs based on data-driven analysis and collaboration with software engineering teams. The Sr TPM will streamline processes, reduce toil, and enhance employee morale while effectively communicating with executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive recurring rhythm of business activities including annual operating plans, monthly/quarterly business reviews, and financial forecasts.
• Define, scope, and execute multiple simultaneous end-to-end programs based on data-driven analysis.
• Introduce initiatives to improve productivity within the EE organization by streamlining processes and improving employee morale.
• Manage dependencies and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Deliver achievable software plans and communicate effectively to executive audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices.
• Experience with Agile and Kanban delivery methodologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
