About the position

The Sr Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Amazon's Enterprise Engineering Business Operations (BizOps) team will lead and manage a variety of cross-cutting programs aimed at enhancing employee satisfaction and productivity within a large organization of over 400 employees. This role involves driving the rhythm of business activities, including annual operating plans, business reviews, and financial forecasts, while also executing multiple end-to-end programs based on data-driven analysis and software architecture specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for streamlining processes, reducing toil, and improving employee morale, all while effectively communicating with executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Drive recurring rhythm of business activities including annual operating plans, monthly/quarterly business reviews, and financial forecasts.
  • Define, scope, and execute multiple simultaneous end-to-end programs based on data-driven analysis.
  • Introduce initiatives to improve productivity by streamlining processes and reducing toil.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and describe software product features.
  • Manage dependencies and remove ambiguity in project execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices.
  • Experience with Agile and Kanban delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
