About the position

The Sr Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Enterprise Engineering Business Operations at Amazon will lead and manage a team of over 400 employees, executing cross-cutting programs that enhance employee satisfaction and productivity. This role involves driving business activities such as annual operating plans, business reviews, and financial forecasts, while also defining and executing multiple end-to-end programs based on data-driven analysis. The successful candidate will streamline processes, reduce toil, and improve morale within the organization, balancing strategic vision with practical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Drive recurring rhythm of business activities including annual operating plans and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
  • Define, scope, and execute multiple simultaneous end-to-end programs based on data-driven analysis.
  • Introduce initiatives to improve productivity by streamlining processes and reducing toil.
  • Communicate effectively with executive audiences and manage dependencies across teams.
  • Collect business/system requirements and create software architecture specifications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices.
  • Experience with Agile and Kanban delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
