About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager for Global Network Transport Services at Amazon's Project Kuiper is responsible for driving technical programs that enhance network transport services. This role focuses on delivering core network services and APIs that facilitate connectivity for various customer segments, including government, consumer, and enterprise. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams and other Amazon units to ensure timely delivery and operational excellence in network services.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical programs for Kuiper's network transport services.
• Ensure delivery of core network transport services and APIs for Kuiper customers.
• Work closely with engineering teams to align timelines, remove blockers, and manage risks.
• Partner with other Amazon teams, such as AWS, to drive workstreams across Kuiper and AWS.
• Define the operational model and key performance metrics for global network transport services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and building sustainable processes.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLA's for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
