About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager for Global Network Transport Services at Amazon Kuiper is responsible for driving technical programs that enhance network transport services for a constellation of satellites aimed at increasing global broadband access. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, defining operational models, and ensuring the delivery of core services and APIs that facilitate connectivity for various customer segments, including government, consumer, and enterprise. The position offers a unique opportunity to build foundational network services that can transform connectivity in underserved areas.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical programs for Kuiper's network transport services.
• Ensure delivery of core network transport services and APIs for Kuiper customers.
• Work closely with engineering teams to align timelines, remove blockers, and manage risks.
• Partner with other Amazon teams, such as AWS, to drive workstreams across Kuiper and AWS.
• Define the operational model and key performance metrics for global network transport services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and building sustainable processes.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
