About the position

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring the cloud remains operational and efficient. The role involves leading hardware product development programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in hardware design to meet customer needs while maintaining cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical program management, particularly in hardware development, and will be passionate about enhancing customer experiences through data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware product development programs and operational reviews in a cross-functional environment.
• Provide leadership in applying new technologies to large-scale server deployments.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their business goals and product needs.
• Drive and coordinate efforts across hardware design, component development, firmware, testing, and qualification.
• Develop, deploy at scale, and provide ongoing operational support for servers.
• Continuously improve product performance, quality, and cost.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
• 3+ years of hardware development experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and building sustainable processes.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of compute or storage server architecture and design for large-scale applications.
• Experience with server technologies such as power optimization, board design, thermal, mechanical, BIOS, BMC, signal integrity, and networking.
