About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Central Operations Logistics Team is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager who possesses a strong logistics operations delivery record and senior leadership experience. This role is pivotal in owning and managing strategic, cross-functional, and cross-organizational business initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage analytical, technical, program management, relationship-building, and operations management skills to drive a wide array of strategic initiatives and improvement projects. As a member of this team, you will be recognized as a thought leader, collaborating across various functions to develop and implement next-generation processes, tools, and systems. In this role, you will be responsible for writing documents that articulate a clear operational strategy, developing requirements to enhance our processes and tools, and ensuring scalable solutions that support our ability to maintain and grow the AWS cloud. AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, which includes supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continuous access to the innovations they rely on. You will be tackling some of the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we are looking for talented individuals who are eager to contribute. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other essential roles. Collaboration with various teams across AWS will be crucial to delivering the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Responsibilities

• Work with business teams and process owners to drive new initiatives, representing the logistics organization globally.
• Determine customer needs and drive solutions accordingly.
• Program manage global initiatives by defining processes, owners, data inputs, dependencies, decision points, and key milestones.
• Create and own program/project plans, prioritizing and implementing them effectively.
• Identify, marshal, and organize resources and cooperation across departments to meet required goals.
• Solve complex issues and establish standards, processes, and system requirements.
• Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, including team members and executives, synthesizing a multitude of issues into a clear, concise message.
• Provide visibility into potential risks, issues, and blockers, developing mitigation plans and owning resolutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• 5+ years of logistics management experience, including warehouse management and knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
