About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Amazon's Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Innovation Team will lead the development and scaling of advanced automation technologies within Amazon's fulfillment network. This role focuses on driving innovation and sustainability through the management of complex technical programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product vision.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall strategy of a large, high impact program from concept to delivery.
  • Work closely with stakeholders & customers to achieve the org strategy, aligning technical development with product vision and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including operations, engineering, and development teams, to deliver critical solutions, providing prioritization and conflict resolution for the program.
  • Manage the product development process, including defining project timelines, milestones, and tracking progress.
  • Work with Product to define key performance indicators (KPIs), test criteria, and use data and analytics to measure the success of the product.
  • Understand the architecture of the systems you work with, influencing team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
  • Act as a technical problem solver, articulating program goals, desired outcomes, risks/issues, and mitigation planning.
  • Apply project management best practices to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
