About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Amazon's Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Innovation Team will lead the development and scaling of advanced automation technologies within Amazon's fulfillment network. This role focuses on driving innovation and sustainability through cutting-edge automation solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product vision while managing complex technical programs from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall strategy of a large, high impact program from concept to delivery.
  • Work closely with stakeholders & customers to achieve the org strategy, aligning technical development with product vision and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including operations, engineering, and development teams, to deliver critical solutions, providing prioritization and conflict resolution for the program.
  • Manage the product development process, including defining project timelines, milestones, and tracking progress.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs), test criteria, and use data and analytics to measure the success of the product.
  • Understand the architecture of the systems you work with, influencing team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
  • Articulate program goals, desired outcomes, risks/issues, and mitigation planning, implementing innovative solutions to project roadblocks when necessary.
  • Apply project management best practices to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
