About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager (OCI) will play a crucial role in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure team, focusing on developing services that operate at high scale in a multi-tenant cloud environment. This position requires a hands-on approach to solving complex problems in distributed systems and highly available services, with an emphasis on creating usable software that addresses real user needs. The role involves significant collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires strong communication skills to lead discussions among engineers, designers, and product managers.

Responsibilities

  • Foster effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Support, and other key stakeholders.
  • Define and manage complex programs with competing priorities by influencing the roadmaps and priorities of essential partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain the roadmap, set realistic expectations, and ensure that our products and services uphold high operational excellence standards.
  • Oversee the execution and timely delivery of features for both users and developers, ensuring they meet scope requirements.
  • Maintain high standards and consistency in the Oracle customer experience.
  • Recommend process improvements and act as the primary point of contact for any issues or questions related to the program.
  • Ensure that necessary resources are allocated to support specific programs.
  • Provide ongoing written and verbal updates on release status to senior leadership.
  • Adapt flexibly and resiliently to changing or ambiguous situations, advising on necessary adjustments through proper review and approval processes.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in technical program management within cloud infrastructure or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and highly available services.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly to non-engineers.
  • Proven ability to lead discussions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive projects to completion.
