About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager for OpsTech Networking-Wireless Architecture at Amazon is responsible for leading cross-organization initiatives, developing organizational roadmaps, and driving efficiency in processes. This role involves managing program strategies, analyzing data, and influencing resource allocation to meet organizational goals. The position requires collaboration with technical leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of programs while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of cross organization initiatives
  • Assist in developing and leading organization roadmaps
  • Drive efficiency in processes and deliver on goals
  • Manage the roadmap for an organization
  • Contribute to OP1/OP2 narratives and ownership of organizational goals
  • Define program mission, vision, and tenets
  • Set goals and analyze data to drive improvements
  • Influence resource allocation and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Partner with technical leaders to drive long-term vision
  • Streamline and eliminate excess processes
  • Influence teams to decouple from dependencies
  • Demonstrate good judgment in escalation
  • Regularly review metrics and seek improved data visibility
  • Create plans with clear, measurable success criteria
  • Oversee the gap between teams, processes, and systems
  • Solve ambiguous problems and mitigate risks
  • Drive continuous improvement activities
  • Facilitate and guide Lean Six Sigma applications across the organization
  • Participate in promoting continuous improvement best practices

Requirements

  • 6+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery
  • Wired & Wireless Networking background/knowledge required

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree (MBA, Engineering, Operations Management, Mathematics, Science)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience instructing on Lean methodologies and technology projects
  • Proficient in organizing and analyzing data for decision making
  • Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics
  • Proven experience working with large scale technology systems
