About the position

The position is responsible for leading and delivering complex business and technical projects at Early Warning Services. This includes project planning and execution across multiple organizations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in scope. The role involves engaging in cross-organizational influence during the project lifecycle, defining technical requirements, and collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives while managing risks and resolving technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage multiple aspects of interrelated project workstreams independently with multiple engineering teams.
  • Enforce EWS specific product and project lifecycle processes from discovery to post-deployment in compliance with Audit, Risk, and Compliance committee.
  • Report on project tracking including results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities to stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed project plans and status reports regarding project milestones, success criteria, deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
  • Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluate progress, and proactively work with the project team to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
  • Define high-level technical requirements and design, working with technical leadership to drive end-to-end solutions.
  • Oversee and influence technical decisions and provide insights to ensure alignment and quality delivery.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans.
  • Communicate ideas effectively to all types of audiences including senior leadership, fostering constructive dialogue and resolving contentious issues.
  • Collaborate successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams, managing stakeholder expectations and providing regular updates on project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience managing large complex projects in a technical or software development environment.
  • Strong technical background and experience working with engineering or development teams.
  • Experience in financial institutions or similarly regulated industries and/or software development processes.
  • Strong team player with ability to coach/mentor others.
  • Effective relationship building and team collaboration skills leading diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with ability to tailor to varying audiences.
  • Confidence and poise to present at all levels effectively.
  • Highly engaged, self-starter with ability to balance achieving results and fostering collaboration.
  • Proactive in identifying and driving process improvements within the organization.

  • Agile / ScrumMaster certifications and/or related certifications.
  • PMP, PRINC and/or related certifications.
  • Lean Six Sigma or Project Management certification and/or related certifications.
  • Demonstrated people leadership in business and technical environments.
