Next Pathway, recognized as one of Canada's hottest start-ups by the Globe and Mail, is seeking a skilled Senior Technical Project Manager specializing in Cloud/Data Migrations and Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW). This role is pivotal in guiding clients through the complexities of migrating applications and workloads to the cloud using our advanced automation technology. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of project management experience, particularly in managing risks associated with complex projects, and at least 5 years of experience leading multiple technical teams, potentially across various geographical locations. A strong technical background in cloud technologies, enterprise data warehouse concepts, data integration pipelines, and reporting is essential for success in this position. The Senior Technical Project Manager will be responsible for providing comprehensive project and program management skills across various initiatives. This includes facilitating meetings with key client staff to gather requirements, preparing detailed project plans, and managing the tasks of the entire team, which includes vendors, clients, and internal staff. The role requires tracking and monitoring project budgets, adhering to estimates, and following escalation procedures for any issues that may affect project health. Regular status reports will be prepared to communicate current tasks, upcoming tasks, issues, risks, budget status, and milestone dates. The manager will also identify, track, and manage issues and risks, ensuring they are communicated to the appropriate leadership. In addition to project management responsibilities, the Senior Technical Project Manager will facilitate operational efficiencies within the development team, ensuring maximum deliverables in each iteration. This includes removing impediments and blocking issues that may hinder progress. The role also involves implementing processes, practices, and tools that allow for multiple paths of delivery, creating simplified, consistent, reusable, efficient, and flexible methodologies. The candidate will recommend improvements and drive alignment across IT teams within the same line of business, ensuring that all project management and Scrum skills are effectively utilized.
