Next Pathway, recognized as one of Canada's hottest start-ups by the Globe and Mail, is seeking a skilled Senior Technical Project Manager specializing in Cloud/Data Migrations and Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW). This role is pivotal in guiding clients through the complexities of migrating their applications and workloads to the cloud using our advanced automation technology. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of project management experience, particularly in managing risks associated with complex projects, and at least 5 years of experience leading multiple technical teams, potentially across various geographical locations. A strong technical background in cloud technologies, enterprise data warehouse concepts, data integration pipelines, and reporting is essential for success in this position. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive project and program management skills across various initiatives. This includes facilitating meetings with key client staff to gather requirements, preparing detailed project plans, and managing the tasks of the entire team, including vendors and client staff, to ensure milestones are met. You will track and monitor project budgets, follow escalation procedures for project health issues, and prepare weekly status reports to communicate current tasks, upcoming tasks, issues, risks, and milestone dates. Your role will also involve identifying, tracking, and managing issues and risks, facilitating regular status meetings, and ensuring that teams have the necessary technical clarity during meetings and stand-ups. In addition to project management responsibilities, you will be tasked with implementing processes and tools that allow for multiple paths of delivery, recommending improvements, and driving alignment across IT teams within the same line of business. Your expertise in agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, will be crucial in guiding the development team towards operational efficiencies and maximum deliverables in each iteration. You will also leverage your knowledge of software development processes to understand team needs and ensure effective sprint planning and agile development practices. This role requires a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for Scrum and project management.
