About the position

The Sr. Technical Project Manager at JAGGAER will play a pivotal role in leading and managing technical project teams to ensure the successful delivery of technology-based projects that support the Cloud Operations and Corporate IT teams. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of project management principles and the ability to navigate complex technical environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining project scope, setting deadlines, clarifying team responsibilities, resolving issues, and monitoring the progress of large, technical projects while adhering to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role demands a proactive approach to project management, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and success metrics both during and after project completion. In this position, you will create project plans from scratch and maintain their accuracy on a weekly basis. You will be responsible for sending out weekly project status updates to communicate health and progress, coordinating and conducting weekly cross-functional team meetings, and leading monthly Steering Committee meetings. Additionally, you will engage in one-on-one meetings with project sponsors and owners to ensure alignment and drive project success. Reporting on project metrics will be a key responsibility, as you will need to demonstrate the success of project implementations to stakeholders, including the CFO. Your role will also involve leveraging your business operational experience to apply best practices, define and document business flows, policies, and procedures throughout the organization. Collaboration with other departments at JAGGAER will be essential, as you will need to proactively identify, mitigate, and manage project risks. Regular meetings with the PMO Manager will help ensure that project progress is tracked and communicated effectively. Overall, your ability to organize, communicate, and troubleshoot technical challenges will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Create project plan from scratch and manage project plan accuracy on a weekly basis
  • Send out weekly project status updates to show health & progress every Friday
  • Coordinate, conduct and note take weekly project cross-functional team meetings
  • Coordinate and conduct monthly Steering Committee Meetings
  • Conduct 1:1 meetings with project sponsor and owners
  • Drive project meetings, including agenda creation, scheduling, and sending out meeting notes and action items
  • Report monthly or quarterly metrics to prove the success of the project implementation
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery involving cross-functional teams
  • Apply best practices, define and document business flows, policies and procedures throughout the organization
  • Drive collaboration with other JAGGAER departments related to the projects
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks proactively
  • Meet weekly with PMO Manager
  • Provide monthly project progress readouts to CFO

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 3 years of Project Management Experience, majority within PMO organization
  • 3-5 years of technical project management experience
  • Experience with AWS related infrastructure projects
  • Experience in a SaaS organization is a plus
  • Basic understanding of software processes and technology concepts
  • Excellent project management, interpersonal, organization, communication, presentation, documentation and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Ability to consistently act independently, take initiative and drive tasks and issues to resolution
  • Strong, executive-level presence and experience in facilitation
  • Experienced, confident, articulate, succinct, professional, with sound judgement and critical thinking skills
  • Innovative, forward thinking, with ability to develop and scrutinize best practices
