The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and delivering complex projects on time and within budget, utilizing either waterfall or agile methodologies. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the Senior Project Manager will track project status and manage project teams, proactively mitigating risks and resolving issues effectively. For agile projects, this role includes acting as the Senior Scrum Master, which involves organizing and facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sizing sessions, backlog grooming sessions, and end-of-sprint ceremonies. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will create dashboards and reports to showcase team productivity. Key responsibilities include coordinating and developing project plans, resources, and monitoring assigned projects to ensure they remain on schedule and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will engage and motivate cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables, while being accountable for delivering technical projects that align with business objectives. This role requires maintaining at least three complex projects simultaneously, mentoring Agile Project Managers, and ensuring effective adherence to SDLC governance by engaging with various organizations including architecture, legal, risk, security, compliance, delivery, and vendor management. The Senior Project Manager will also manage backlog grooming with cross-functional teams, develop and maintain the requirements backlog, and drive project execution planning to ensure development teams are set for success in their commitments. Furthermore, the role involves monitoring project health, managing interdependencies, performing retrospectives, and supporting the company's commitment to risk management and data integrity.
