About the position

The Senior Technology Project Manager will play a crucial role in initiating, planning, executing, and finalizing technology component implementations for various projects associated with organizational construction capital programs. This position requires a strong focus on managing the efforts of all team members to ensure that technology components are delivered within the established budget and schedule. The Project Manager will also be responsible for overseeing quality control and reporting progress throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with business goals and stakeholder expectations. In this role, the Project Manager will direct and manage project development from inception to completion, handling multiple projects simultaneously. They will define and document project technology scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. The Project Manager will draft and submit budget proposals, recommend changes, and build relationships vital to the success of the projects. They will estimate and identify necessary resources and participants, negotiate with contractors and internal managers for personnel acquisition, and develop comprehensive project plans that address all aspects of the technology implementation lifecycle. The Project Manager will facilitate routine project team meetings to manage project requirements and expectations, coach and mentor team members, and track project status against plans. They will identify and manage project dependencies, resolve conflicts, and proactively manage potential scope and schedule changes. Conducting project post-mortems and creating recommendations reports will also be part of their responsibilities, ensuring continuous improvement in project management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages project development and progress from beginning to end.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Defines and documents project technology scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes.
  • Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to project success.
  • Estimates and identifies resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Negotiates with contractors and internal department managers for personnel acquisition.
  • Develops scaled project plans and associated communications documents using standard tools.
  • Plans address all aspects of the standard technology implementation lifecycle including design, procurement, installation, build/configure, test, train, go-live, and close.
  • Facilitates or participates in routine project team meetings to manage project requirements and expectations.
  • Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and contractors.
  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results, and troubleshoots problem areas.
  • Tracks and reports status against project plans to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path, resolving issues/conflicts as necessary.
  • Proactively manages potential scope and schedule changes, conducting project post-mortems and creating recommendations reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, Visio, and project management software.
  • Prior experience with technology implementation in a construction project.
  • Thorough knowledge of formal project management methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least seven years of project management experience.
  • Experience with implementing healthcare applications and technologies.
  • PMP certification.
