About the position

The Sr. Technical Program/Project Manager at HTC Global Services will play a pivotal role in identifying, planning, and coordinating a set of related projects within the Retail Restaurant Tech and Digital program. This position is crucial for managing interdependencies in support of specific business strategies across Company Experiences. The successful candidate will apply project management principles, practices, and techniques to lead and control project schedules, scope, quality, cost, and performance risks independently for multiple complex technology projects. In this role, the Sr. Technical Program/Project Manager will coordinate the activities of the project team by becoming familiar with the project scope and objectives, as well as the roles and functions of each team member. Close collaboration with cross-discipline technology teams, leadership, and business partners is essential to understand technical and business direction, milestones, and budget. The candidate will also provide thought leadership to the project management team, ensuring that all aspects of the program are aligned with the overall business goals. Key responsibilities include undertaking program planning, developing and implementing long-term goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes, managing the execution of the program, and coordinating the delivery of program objectives. The Sr. Technical Program/Project Manager will ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining the program schedule and target dates. They will assess program and project risks, formulate mitigation plans, and develop and update project budgets as required. Additionally, the candidate will lead high-priority matrix projects that require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with project sponsors and teams. Regular program status meetings will be conducted with all stakeholders to keep their needs and requirements continuously in view, ensuring that all program stakeholders receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, plan, and coordinate related projects within the Retail Restaurant Tech and Digital program.
  • Manage interdependencies in support of specific business strategies across Company Experiences.
  • Apply project management principles to lead and control project schedule, scope, quality, cost, and performance risks.
  • Coordinate activities of the project team and understand project scope and objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-discipline technology teams, leadership, and business partners.
  • Undertake program planning and develop long-term goals and objectives.
  • Manage execution of the program and coordinate delivery of program objectives.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain program schedule and target dates.
  • Assess program and project risks and formulate mitigation plans.
  • Develop and update project budgets as required and deliver successful programs in a timely manner.
  • Lead and direct high-priority matrix projects requiring considerable resources.
  • Conduct program meetings at leadership and executive director levels.
  • Develop and manage a project change control process as needed.
  • Assess program and project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.
  • Prepare and execute program communication and ensure stakeholder orientation and training.
  • Conduct regular program status meetings with all stakeholders and manage program budget.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of Program/Project management experience (Project Lead, SCRUM Master, Agile Coach) with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall methodologies and blending styles for collaboration and delivery.
  • Ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects.
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Agile Application Lifecycle Management and development tools like JIRA and Confluence Wiki.
  • Understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps, and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD).
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall.
  • Experience with budget tracking and complex cost-benefit analysis.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing projects within a program in a matrix organization.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Nice-to-haves
