About the position

The Sr. Technical Project Manager will oversee complex IT projects within the healthcare sector, focusing on the management of application dispositions during mergers and acquisitions. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare informatics and the ability to coordinate between product management and merger teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the disposition of approximately 400 applications, including roadmap development, data capture, and identification of roadblocks for migrating applications to the client's domain.
  • Understand and define the scope of application migrations, including dependencies and integrations with critical systems such as billing.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the product management group and the mergers team, facilitating communication and ensuring that product managers are well-informed about project developments.
  • Lead and manage multiple ongoing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Utilize your background in informatics to understand healthcare workflows, ask pertinent questions, and drive project success.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and project plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of IT project management experience, with a strong emphasis on healthcare IT.
  • Proven experience in managing IT projects related to mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong background in healthcare informatics and understanding of hospital workflows.
  • Ability to understand and manage technical aspects of IT projects, even if the product management team does not possess deep technical expertise.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills with a track record of successfully managing complex IT projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field is preferred.
