About the position

The Sr. Technical Recruiter for Life Safety at M.C. Dean is responsible for recruiting and maintaining a pipeline of candidates in the Life Safety and Fire Alarm industry. This role requires a deep understanding of Fire Alarm systems and involves collaborating with hiring managers to meet staffing needs, particularly for positions requiring security clearances. The recruiter will manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and maintain a candidate pipeline for Life Safety and Fire Alarm positions.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs for security clearance roles.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to life safety roles.
  • Utilize targeted sourcing methods to identify and engage potential candidates.
  • Assess candidates' qualifications in the life safety and fire alarm industry.
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the security clearance process.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of life safety industry candidates.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from initial contact to offer acceptance.
  • Uphold a positive candidate experience with transparent communication and timely updates.
  • Collaborate with HR and compliance teams to ensure hiring processes align with regulations.
  • Leverage data and reporting to monitor recruitment metrics and optimize processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the engineering & construction industry focused on Life Safety & Fire Alarm.
  • In-depth understanding of Fire Alarm systems design, construction, installation & commissioning.
  • Experience recruiting technical talent in the life safety and fire alarm industry.
  • Experience hiring fire alarm technicians, safety inspectors, installers, and fire alarm programmers.
  • Understanding of PLC, ESS, and FA Principles (Programmable Logic Controller, Energy Storage Systems, and Fire Alarm Systems).
  • Experience with Full Life Cycle Recruiting operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication, and organization skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
