About the position

The Sr. Technical Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and administering the corporate staffing function within the Human Development Department. This role involves interviewing prospective team members for various job levels, managing recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and practices. The position is remote, with a focus on high-volume recruiting for technical roles, particularly in infrastructure and structured cabling.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates recruiting efforts to obtain qualified Team Members, including interviewing and scheduling arrangements with management.
  • Discusses job vacancy requirements with appropriate management.
  • Interviews, screens, and tests applicants as necessary.
  • Prepares internal postings and external advertisements with hiring managers and advertising agencies.
  • Arranges job postings and schedules interviews for internal candidates.
  • Verifies employment history, educational background, and checks references of applicants.
  • Responds to applications and inquiries for employment in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates travel and lodging arrangements for recruitment purposes.
  • Prepares acceptance letters for selected candidates and extends job offers.
  • Schedules post-offer pre-employment physicals.
  • Maintains the Applicant Tracking System and Job Information Line.
  • Coordinates external placement agency contacts and candidate referrals.
  • Acts as a liaison with on-site temporary placement firms.
  • Ensures compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action regulations.
  • Participates in audits and compliance with the Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Assists in additional Human Development activities and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline is desirable.
  • 8-12 years of Human Resources experience, including interviewing and recruitment.
  • Experience in high-volume recruiting, specifically for infrastructure technician or structured cabling roles.
  • Skill in interviewing techniques and knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Familiarity with technical recruitment processes.
