About the position

The Telephony and Network Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of duties including the configuration, management, and maintenance of telephony communication systems and network infrastructure. This role also involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation, as well as collaborating with various departments and vendors. The position is critical in ensuring that the company's telephony and network infrastructure operates smoothly, requiring a candidate with a strong technical background and the ability to work under pressure. The role is 100% onsite in Carrollton, TX, and is a direct hire position with a salary range of $130,000 to $145,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for configuring, managing, and maintaining telephony and network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and telecommunication equipment.
• Monitor the systems to ensure they are functioning optimally and carry out regular maintenance, including backups and system updates.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to telephony and network systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all communication systems, including disaster recovery plans.
• Work closely with vendors to implement solutions and ensure that systems are aligned with business needs.
• Provide off-hours support, train staff, and serve as a point of contact for issues related to phone systems in the contact center.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Network & Telephony systems, with specific experience in Cisco, Genesys Telecommunications, and Mitel phone systems, as well as contact center environments.
• Experience with VoIP technologies and internal telephone support, especially in configuring and maintaining call queues, call flows, and reporting in a contact center.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment, and experience in training staff.

Nice-to-haves

• A Bachelor's degree in technology is preferred but not required.
• Genesys Cloud CX certifications (Admin, Agent, Architect), Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE).
• Experience with Genesys Cloud.
