About the position

As a Senior Test Engineer - Test Integrator at SNC, you will play a crucial role in the development and modernization of the U.S. Air Force's Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) mission. This position involves implementing an integrated plan for product development, coordinating activities throughout the product lifecycle from the design concept phase to release. You will be responsible for monitoring the product, program, or project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed. Your role will also include reviewing, managing, proactively challenging, and controlling the status of project programs and budgets, managing schedules, preparing status reports, and guiding teams to achieve program goals, including issue identification, resolution, and contingency planning. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, serving as a prime integrator for innovative, high-performance systems. Your work will contribute to the end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities, which encompass design, integration, testing, certification, ground/flight training, and complete logistics support. You will be part of a team that tailors solutions to meet customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements, consistently exceeding expectations with an unrivaled record of on-time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Implement an integrated plan for product development, coordinating activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery.
  • Interface with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed.
  • Review, manage, proactively challenge, and control the status of project programs and budgets.
  • Manage schedules and prepare status reports.
  • Guide and lead teams in achieving program goals, including issue identification, resolution, and contingency planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Typically 10 or more years of experience in engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, conducting, and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
  • Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Typically 2-4 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience.
  • Experience managing flight test programs, including test plan/procedure developments, execution, and reporting.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team and communicating with program management and customers.
  • Familiarity with development and execution of program cost and schedule management, including control account management functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
  • Experience in FAA and Military aircraft certification efforts.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
