About the position

The Sr Training Software Product Owner & Developer at Constellation is responsible for managing and enhancing training-related software products, primarily within the Appian platform. This role combines product ownership with software development, ensuring that training solutions meet organizational needs while adhering to industry standards. The position requires collaboration with users and DevOps teams to maintain and improve software functionality, as well as providing support and mentorship to users.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for training software, managing the product lifecycle including responding to user questions, determination of new software solutions, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Appian solutions for training software, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
• Maintain knowledge of Appian and related software by keeping up to date with new features and capabilities, including attending industry conferences and workshops.
• Maintain product logs by soliciting and incorporating feedback from users and DevOps, and host feedback sessions to ensure software products remain useful and up to date.
• Support other training-related technology products and initiatives as determined by the business.
• Provide support and mentoring to users to facilitate the use of training software applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, STEM, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Appian software development.
• Certified as a Senior or Lead Appian Developer required.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product management principles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to take the initiative to identify areas of improvement in training software solutions and work independently on assigned projects.
• Strong problem identification and solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Lead Appian Developer Certification.
• Experience in troubleshooting and updating Appian code not your own.
• Experience with database design (SQL) to include troubleshooting database views and functions.
• Experience in building/troubleshooting Appian Custom Plugins.
• Expert user of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with corporate training software programs (i.e., LMS, etc.)
