About the position

The Sr. Transaction Manager at JLL will manage and execute complex land transactions that support low carbon capital projects across the US for a key client. This role involves strategizing, evaluating, and executing real estate transactions while working closely with various professionals and maintaining strong client relationships. The position requires proactive management of client transactions and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute complex land transactions for low carbon capital projects.
  • Assume key transaction responsibilities for strategic clients and provide advice on transactions.
  • Attend regular client meetings and conference calls to discuss transaction progress.
  • Improve client transaction management processes and reporting.
  • Support and manage the execution of a large number of transactions annually, adhering to company standards.
  • Collect client requirements, obtain market data, and assist with site selection and evaluation.
  • Negotiate letters of intent, ground leases, option agreements, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Produce comparative financial analysis to aid in strategy development and decision making.
  • Coordinate with the client's GIS team for customized maps and dashboards.
  • Review commission invoices for accuracy and ensure timely payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 5+ years of transaction management experience, preferably with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Experience in land transactions and negotiating contracts such as ground leases and purchase agreements.
  • Ability to work with corporate clients in a fast-paced environment to achieve real estate objectives.
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting impacts related to transactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiating, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Outstanding client service skills and proven collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Hydrogen, Ammonia, and CCS verticals.
  • Familiarity with GIS tools and data visualization.
