About the position

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Transit Project/Program Manager to join our New England Transit Market Group. In this role, you will manage a multi-disciplinary team and lead, manage, and provide technical expertise for mid-large size complex transportation projects and programs in Transit, which includes heavy and light rail, commuter rail, bus, and ferry services. You will be responsible for scoping and estimating projects, providing technical leadership and strategic direction for the delivery of projects, and offering innovation in project and program approaches and methodologies to achieve marketplace differentiation. Your daily responsibilities will include preparing technical reports and analyses, driving project performance, and being accountable for the performance of the portfolio. You will also mentor junior staff and participate in skill development and workforce planning for AECOM's Transportation Business Line. Continuous interaction with clients to ensure satisfaction with AECOM services is crucial, as is developing and building strong relationships with existing and new clients. You will work to strengthen client relationships within the Transit industry, including organizations such as MBTA, CTDOT, MassDOT Rail and Transit, and RIDOT. Additionally, you will participate in identifying new opportunities and in the development of technical proposals while managing project scope, budgets, and schedules.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering plus eight years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • PE License.

Nice-to-haves

  • 14 years professional experience.
  • 10 years of Transit experience.
  • Experience with MBTA.
  • Knowledge of FRA, DOT, AREMA and local railroad/transit criteria.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering.
  • Rail Program Management experience.
  • Alternative Delivery experience.
