About the position

The Senior Transportation Analyst is responsible for collecting and evaluating data related to transportation and supply chain operations. This role requires a deep understanding of operational processes and focuses on developing and implementing effective data collection methods, data visualization, and impactful data analysis to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Gather data from various sources, including databases and spreadsheets.
• Prepare and clean data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Analyze transportation and supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and insights useful to the business.
• Create high-level visual representations of data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Create value through the increased adoption of data, data science, and business intelligence.
• Actively work to improve data quality by collaborating with internal and external partners.
• Develop and support cross-functional relationships across all divisions to enhance meaningful data capture for analysis.
• Generate and distribute time-sensitive reporting across the organization for weekly, monthly, and annual requirements.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years' experience in a similar role.
• Expert proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau).
• Self-motivated problem solver willing to solve problems independently or with assistance.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Expert proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience in Transportation or Supply Chain.
• 4-year degree in Business Analytics or relevant experience with a focus on Supply Chain and/or Logistics.

Nice-to-haves

• Business Intelligence certifications preferred.
• Ability to create "outside the box" solutions.
• Relationship-based thinking and approach.
