About the position

The Sr Transportation Specialist - Carrier Operations plays a crucial role in facilitating operations within the Transportation department at ACV. This position is responsible for coordinating carrier operations tasks, managing customer and carrier inquiries, and processing transactions to enhance the overall customer experience. The specialist will work closely with carriers, customers, and internal teams to navigate complex assignments and ensure efficient operations with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Triage customer and carrier inquiries; manage transactions and communications for timely resolutions.
• Process, prioritize, and coordinate transactions to support Transportation operations and Carrier Operations.
• Manage relationships with carriers, customers, and internal departments.
• Resolve complex issues using effective problem-solving skills and provide guidance to junior teammates.
• Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of records in Salesforce, load boards, and NetSuite.
• Partner with leadership teams to set objectives and maintain status of carrier-related assignments.
• Monitor KPIs and collaborate with management to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in customer service and transportation, supply chain, or logistics.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Complex problem-solving ability.
• Strong teamwork skills, both internally and externally.
• Proven customer service ability.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Sense of urgency and self-motivation.
• Experience with business technology, including Microsoft Office or G Suite, and Salesforce.
