About the position

The Sr. UI Front-End Developer at Comcast is responsible for supporting the UI team working on the Smart Network Platform (SNP), which manages thousands of devices within one of the largest cable networks. This role involves translating UX wireframes into React views, managing projects through design, development, and QA, and optimizing applications for speed and scalability. The developer will work within a SAFE Agile environment and collaborate on progressive redesign and maintenance projects that enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate UX team wireframes into Views in React
• Manage projects through design, development, and QA
• Participate in SAFE Agile methodologies
• Work on Node JS API layer
• Oversee testing and develop fixes
• Work on progressive redesign and maintenance projects
• Develop new user-facing features
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Validate all user input before submitting to back-end
• Participate in code reviews
• Identify blockers and apply creative solutions
• Stay updated on current trends in web development
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related area
• 5 to 8 years of experience in the field
• 5 or more years of experience in React and Node JS
• Good understanding of Front-End systems and Microservice architecture
• Experience with Webpack and TypeScript
• Experience with NoSQL DB such as MongoDB and data stores such as Elastic Search
• Experience with containerization and Jenkins
• Experience with AWS cloud
• Linux / Unix / MacOS experience
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar
• Proficient in Git or similar
