About the position

The Sr. UI Front-End Developer role at Comcast involves supporting the UI team for the Smart Network Platform (SNP), which is designed to manage a vast network of devices. This position focuses on translating UX designs into functional React components, managing projects through various stages of development, and ensuring high-quality user experiences. The developer will work within an agile environment, optimizing applications for performance and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate UX team wireframes into Views in React
• Manage projects through design, development, and QA phases
• Participate in SAFE Agile methodologies
• Develop and maintain the Node JS API layer
• Oversee testing and develop fixes for issues
• Work on redesign and maintenance projects impacting customer experience
• Develop new user-facing features
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Validate user input before submitting to back-end
• Participate in code reviews
• Identify blockers and apply creative solutions
• Stay updated on current trends in web development
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related area
• 5 to 8 years of experience in the field
• 5 or more years of experience in React and Node JS
• Good understanding of Front-End systems and Microservice architecture
• Experience with Webpack and TypeScript
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and data stores like Elastic Search
• Experience with containerization and Jenkins
• Experience with AWS cloud
• Familiarity with Linux / Unix / MacOS
• Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools
• Proficient in Git or similar version control systems.
