About the position

The Sr. UI Java Developer position at INSPYR Solutions involves designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications using Java technologies within a microservices architecture. This contract role requires a strong background in full-stack development and experience with various frameworks and tools, particularly in cloud-based environments. The position is expected to last for 12 months with the possibility of extension, and it emphasizes collaboration within Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale applications in hosted production environments.
• Implement microservices using Spring Framework and RESTful services.
• Utilize Kubernetes and Docker for cloud-based development.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience/training.
• 4 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Microservice framework / REST development with Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in Full Stack Development and J2EE technologies (Java11+, JSP, JMS, JAXB, JDBC, EJB).
• Experience with cloud-based development using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with web servers like Tomcat and WebSphere.
• Knowledge of web services (REST/SOAP) and frameworks (Spring Framework, Spring Boot).
• Experience with build/deployment tools such as Maven, Git, Junit, Mockito.
• Understanding of DevOps Toolchain methodologies including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
• Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM.

Nice-to-haves

• 6 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes Services and Container Orchestration.
• Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Familiarity with IBM MQ/Rabbit MQ and Redis Cache.
