About the position

The Senior UX Researcher at PayPal will play a crucial role in understanding user needs and informing the creation of user-centered experiences. This position involves utilizing various research methods to uncover insights that enhance product trust and security, while also contributing to a positive brand experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for sharing findings and influencing stakeholders throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

• Identify research opportunities that inform product and design strategy.
• Independently execute research studies from beginning to end, including defining research questions and participant samples.
• Present compelling insights and recommendations to teams and leaders across the organization.
• Understand how various research functions and data sources contribute to the product development lifecycle.
• Act as a liaison between design, product management, and marketing teams.
• Champion the voice of the customer in workshops and design sprints.
• Advocate for user-centric approaches and explore best practices within the Experience Design community.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset by seeking feedback and experimenting with new approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4-5 years of experience or Master's degree with 3-4 years in user experience, design, research, or related fields.
• Experience across digital products and platforms, preferably in financial services or e-commerce.
• Proficiency in a variety of research methods including card sorting, tree tests, diary studies, surveys, interviews, and usability testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with financial services and e-commerce expertise.
• Familiarity with remote, field, and lab research settings.
