About the position

Procore Technologies is seeking a Sr. User Researcher (Quantitative) who possesses a unique ability to uncover actionable insights across complex digital solutions. This role is designed for a self-starter who thrives in autonomy while also being a collaborative team player. The ideal candidate will combine advanced survey practices with behavioral analysis to deliver insights that drive product development and enhance user experiences. As a key member of the Product Insights Team, you will work across various solutions to identify and address the real issues that challenge productivity and hinder innovation in the construction industry. Your research will significantly impact how user experiences are shaped, ultimately creating valuable outcomes for construction workers and the customers we serve. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting quantitative research that spans multiple products and adheres to appropriate timelines. You will also conduct usability assessments and utilize mixed-method user research to support product and design development processes. Managing user research initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle—from initial exploration to post-launch evaluations—will be a critical aspect of your role. Regular communication and sharing of research findings with stakeholders, leadership, and other audiences will be essential. You will create partnerships with other customer insights teams to deepen insights, facilitate learning, and connect data points. Additionally, you will collaborate with and influence stakeholders focused on outcomes by creatively disseminating customer insights to foster greater empathy across the organization. Participation in customer job site visits and events will further enhance your understanding of user needs. As a seasoned expert, you will provide guidance and coaching for cross-functional teams to adopt and excel in research best practices, thereby enhancing customer interactions. This position reports to the Director of User Research and is based in our Austin, TX office. We are looking for someone to join us immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative research that may range in scope and size, across multiple products, within appropriate timelines
  • Conduct usability assessments and use mixed-method user research to support our product and design development processes
  • Manage user research initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial exploration to post-launch evaluations
  • Regularly communicate and share your research findings with stakeholders, leadership and other audiences
  • Create partnerships with other customer insights teams to deepen insights, facilitate learning, and connect data points
  • Collaborate with and influence stakeholders focused on outcomes, by creatively disseminating customer insights to instill greater empathy across the organization
  • Participate in customer job site visits, customer events, and facilitate insights sessions to deepen understanding of user needs
  • Provide guidance and coaching for cross-functional teams to adopt and excel in research best practices, enhancing customer interactions

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in conducting quantitative methods of user experience research and handling large data sets
  • Expert skills in quantitative analysis, visualizations, and relevant data tools like R/Python and SQL
  • Advanced skills in running end-to-end usability studies
  • Influential collaborator who desires to work with multiple roles and functions
  • Practiced at distilling complex ideas into simple-to-understand concepts with clear, actionable insights
  • Familiar with common product development processes and design thinking practices
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry while not necessary is advantageous
