About the position

The Sr. UX Designer for AWS Billing will innovate and simplify the overall AWS customer billing experience for both direct customers and channel partners. This role involves deep research and service design to understand customer needs, desired outcomes, and pain points, ultimately leading to the creation of cohesive service maps and customer journey flows. The designer will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic investments and improve customer experiences, focusing on high ROI journeys.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer problems, design customer journey flows and delightful solutions that deliver results.
• Own and lead cross-functional design brainstorm and review meetings with Product, Tech, Science and business teams for input, alignment and sign-off on design deliverables.
• Design customer journey flows and low, medium and high-fidelity wireframes and mockups.
• Review and defend design recommendations to partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership for review, feedback, and approval.
• Provide design assets to development teams for implementation.
• Provide design clarification and consultation as needed to engineers when UX deliverables are being developed.
• Measure the success and effectiveness of UX innovations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience
• Have an available online portfolio
• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
• Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design
• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
• Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
• Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
