About the position

The AWS Finance Technology (AWS FinTech) team is seeking a talented User Experience Designer to lead the design direction and implementation for FinTech products. This role involves collaborating with engineers, product managers, executives, and other designers throughout the strategy, design, and development life-cycle, significantly impacting the business by creating simple and elegant user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design simple and elegant experiences for typical end users.
• Accommodate important edge use cases to ensure a great experience for all users.
• Produce crisp UX graphics that encourage user engagement and actions.
• Understand the full life cycle of new product/service development.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and engineering teams to deliver results.
• Stay in touch with the end user community to understand and meet their needs.
• Collaborate within a larger design community at Amazon to enhance program outcomes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of design experience.
• An available online portfolio showcasing design work.
• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Prototyping experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Ajax.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes.
• Experience with UX design of complex workflows.
