As a Senior UX Designer on Employee Journeys at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in creating, defining, and envisioning innovative experiences for Amazon's 2 million global and diverse employees. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the Joining, Manager, and administrative experiences. This position requires you to partner with research teams and potentially drive research initiatives yourself, while also providing design oversight for a pod of designers. You will regularly review designs and concepts with customers, cross-functional partners, executives, and stakeholders, ensuring that your design decisions are well-educated and backed by data and customer insights. In this role, you will manage your own work queue and demonstrate the ability to navigate difficult design limitations while anticipating future challenges. You will be an advocate for customer experience, collaborating closely with UX Research and Design teams, as well as Product and Engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include identifying customer problems to solve, influencing project priorities, setting the North Star for design initiatives, planning work, executing design, ensuring quality, evaluating outcomes, and iterating on solutions. We are seeking a highly determined, curious, and entrepreneurial UX Designer who is experienced in driving design strategy and mentoring other designers. You will work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, executives, and UX leadership, as well as a passionate team of UX designers and researchers. Your goal will be to improve how employees interact with their jobs and with Amazon, driving work from strategy through to execution. You should be responsive, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a high degree of independence and ownership while raising the bar for user experience and accessibility. In return, you will join a supportive team of designers and researchers who are dedicated to shaping and simplifying employee experiences through a human-centered design process. This process balances data, user insights, problem-solving, UX and visual design, and accessibility. You will have the opportunity to create scalable solutions that drive significant impact and define your development path based on where you believe you can make the most difference and find motivation.
