The PEX team plays a crucial role in supporting Amazon's mission to become Earth's best employer by streamlining the processes of acquiring, training, and retaining employees. As a UX Designer on the employee-facing design systems team, you will lead design initiatives that include the development of Figma components, patterns, and style libraries. Your role will involve collaborating with designers and engineers across various organizations to create effective implementation strategies and timelines for introducing new components and standards. You will focus on delivering scalable design solutions that can be applied across multiple products and platforms, ensuring that design details align with technical requirements to bridge the gap between product and engineering. In this position, you will take ownership of components, patterns, and templates for product experiences across desktop and mobile platforms. You will work closely with designers and engineers to implement high-quality, scalable additions to the design system, while also identifying opportunities for unifying designs across products. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining documentation that outlines the standards and best practices of the component library, serving as a reference for designers, developers, and product teams. You will exemplify Amazon's Leadership Principles, raising the design bar for the organization and providing coaching and feedback to junior contributors to foster their growth and leadership capabilities. Additionally, you will engage deeply with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand how they serve customers, ensuring that your design work aligns with user needs and business goals.
