About the position

The Senior UX Designer is responsible for creating user-centered designs for a Business Process Management (BPM) system, specifically Pega. This role involves leading the design process from research to final handoff, ensuring that all designs are both user-friendly and technically feasible. The designer will collaborate closely with development teams to align user insights with design outputs, pushing the boundaries of speed, quality, and innovation in design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process from initial research through wireframing, testing, and final handoff to developers.
  • Conduct comprehensive user research to uncover user pain points, motivations, and goals.
  • Create and iterate wireframes and prototypes that align with user needs and business goals.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure wireframes and prototypes are feasible and aligned with technical capabilities.
  • Determine and create user flows through software products for smooth navigation.
  • Utilize responsive design principles to ensure adaptability across devices.
  • Leverage existing UI kits and design systems to create cohesive wireframes.
  • Present designs and rationales to stakeholders and executives, tying user needs to business goals.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze usability tests on wireframes, prototypes, and live products.
  • Develop detailed user personas and journey maps based on research findings.
  • Leverage quantitative data to validate design hypotheses and prioritize features.
  • Ensure all designs are accessible by incorporating accessibility standards into the research and testing process.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes for key user interactions and workflows, validating them through user testing.
  • Document all research findings, usability test results, and recommendations for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 3 - 4 years of related work experience required.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe for wireframing and prototype creation.
  • Experience with BPM systems and UI kits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customizing and extending UI kits to fit specific project needs.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Experience in conducting competitive analysis.
