About the position

The Senior UX Designer at Otis Elevator Company will play a pivotal role in enhancing user experiences across multiple products and platforms, impacting over 1 million users. This position requires a strong focus on user-centered design, innovation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional design solutions that align with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation of exceptional user experiences by balancing user needs with business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay updated on industry trends to deliver innovative design solutions.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and mental models based on research findings.
• Leverage data and analytics to inform design decisions and measure the success of design solutions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, information architecture, and other interaction design artifacts.
• Lead by example in design craftsmanship, ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables.
• Articulate design decisions and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
• Work on multiple, concurrent projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in user-centered design methodologies and design thinking.
• Proven ability through a strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of UX principles and processes.
• Excellent team collaboration, communication, and cross-functional skills.
• Deep experience with user research methods, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
• Experience in designing for various platforms, including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Familiarity with lean UX, agile, and scrum processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge in Object-Oriented User Experience (OOUX) is a plus.
