About the position

The Senior UX Designer will lead the end-to-end design process at a Fortune 500 Financial Services firm located in New York City. This role focuses on creating user-centered experiences that simplify complex financial data, ensuring that designs are intuitive and visually engaging. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and implement effective design solutions, utilizing data insights to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design vision and execution across products, making complex financial data intuitive and visually engaging.
• Develop interactive experiences, data visualizations, and high-fidelity designs that simplify complex workflows and drive user satisfaction.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and other designers to bring designs to life, fostering a cohesive vision across teams.
• Use prototyping, wireframes, and testing to validate ideas and ensure designs meet user needs at every stage.
• Leverage data insights and research findings to make informed, data-driven design decisions that enhance user experience and meet customer needs.
• Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to gather insights and build alignment across stakeholders and end-users.

Requirements

• 5+ years of UX design experience, with strong skills in prototyping, visual design, and data visualization.
• Passion for putting the user first, with a knack for translating complex concepts into accessible, visually compelling designs.
• Ability to connect the dots across the entire customer journey, setting strategic goals and driving impactful results.
• Proficiency with Figma, Axure, and Adobe CS; familiarity with Agile methodologies; experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS is a plus.
• Knowledge of design systems and experience in maintaining cohesive design standards across products.
• Portfolio showcasing end-to-end case studies is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS (3 years of experience preferred).
